General
Merchant Moe is the leading decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Mantle Network. It enables users to swap tokens, provide liquidity, stake, and earn rewards — all without a centralized intermediary. Merchant Moe uses an automated market maker (AMM) model with Liquidity Book technology, allowing concentrated liquidity positions and more efficient capital deployment for liquidity providers. Trades are executed on-chain, giving users full custody of their funds at all times.
Merchant Moe is deployed on the Mantle Network, an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) network designed for scalability and low transaction costs. By building on Mantle, Merchant Moe offers users fast transaction confirmations and significantly reduced gas fees compared to the Ethereum mainnet, making DeFi accessible to a wider audience. To use Merchant Moe, you need a compatible wallet (such as MetaMask) connected to the Mantle Network.
Security is a top priority for Merchant Moe. The protocol's smart contracts have been reviewed and audited by independent security firms. Audit reports are publicly available in the official documentation at docs.merchantmoe.com. As with any DeFi protocol, users should always exercise caution, do their own research, and only invest what they can afford to lose. Smart contract risk always exists in decentralized finance.
Trading & Liquidity
Swapping tokens on Merchant Moe is straightforward. First, connect your wallet (e.g. MetaMask) to the Mantle Network. Then navigate to the Trade section on the Merchant Moe interface, select the input and output tokens, enter the amount you wish to swap, and review the transaction details including the estimated price impact and fees. Once satisfied, click "Swap" and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Merchant Moe routes your trade through the most efficient liquidity pools to minimise slippage and costs.
Liquidity providers (LPs) can deposit token pairs into Merchant Moe pools via the Pool section. When you add liquidity, you receive LP tokens representing your share of the pool. Every time a trader swaps through that pool, a small fee is collected and distributed proportionally to all LPs. Merchant Moe uses Liquidity Book technology, enabling concentrated liquidity — meaning you can focus your capital within a specific price range to earn higher fees relative to your investment. You can also stake your LP tokens in Farms to earn additional MOE token rewards on top of trading fees.
Trading fees on Merchant Moe vary by pool type and are typically very low, ranging from 0.01% to 1% per swap depending on the pool configuration. The majority of collected fees are distributed directly to liquidity providers as a reward for their capital. Because Merchant Moe operates on Mantle Network (an L2), network (gas) fees are also significantly lower than on Ethereum mainnet, making frequent trading economical. Always review the fee breakdown shown in the trade confirmation before executing a swap.
MOE Token & Staking
MOE is the native utility and governance token of Merchant Moe. It plays a central role in the protocol's tokenomics. Holders can stake MOE to receive sMOE or veMOE — tokens that grant governance rights, allowing them to vote on which liquidity pools receive farm emission rewards. Stakers also earn a share of protocol revenues. Additionally, MOE tokens are distributed as incentives to liquidity providers who stake their LP tokens in eligible farm pools, creating a self-reinforcing ecosystem on Mantle Network.
To stake MOE tokens on Merchant Moe, navigate to the Stake section, connect your wallet, and select the amount of MOE you wish to stake. Upon staking, you receive veMOE (vote-escrowed MOE), which grants you proportional voting power to direct farm emissions toward specific liquidity pools. Stakers earn protocol revenue distributions in addition to their governance power. Rewards accumulate over time and can be claimed directly from the Stake interface. The longer and more MOE you stake, the greater your influence over the Merchant Moe ecosystem and the more rewards you can potentially earn.
Farms on Merchant Moe allow liquidity providers to earn additional MOE token rewards on top of regular trading fees. After you add liquidity to an eligible pool and receive LP tokens, you can stake those LP tokens in the corresponding Farm. Farm emission rates are determined by veMOE governance votes — pools that receive more votes get a larger share of the weekly MOE emissions. To participate, go to the Farms page, find the pool you have provided liquidity for, and stake your LP tokens. You can harvest your accumulated rewards at any time.
